PowakaddyGolf trolley batteries don't just burden us financially when they need to be replaced - they also come with the need to be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. Most local authorities will have recycling facilities available for dealing with unwanted waste batteries, but this means you have to make arrangements to have the battery collected which sometimes comes at a cost. It may also be the case that you have to transport the battery to the recycling facilty yourself.

New legislation coming into effect on 1st January 2010 places an onus on battery manufacturers to help ensure batteries are recycled. Powakaddy, golf's number one electric trolley brand, now offer a collection scheme for unwanted trolley batteries. As an authorised Powakaddy retailer, the Pro Shop here at Glynneath Golf Club is able to offer this service at no cost to you. All types and brands of golf trolley battery are accepted, so the scheme is not exclusive to Powakaddy branded products. It doesn't need to have been purchased with us either. Just take the battery into the shop next time you are passing and we will sort the rest.

The batteries will be collected periodically by Powakaddy and recycled. It's easier for the golfer, and it's also easier on the environment.
